SITUATION

Sketchbook Pro, a paint and drawing tool application designed specifically for use with Tablet PCs and digitized tablets needed a lift in its e-sales.

The marketing objectives were:

  • Build sales for Sketchbook Pro, the partner tablet & PC OEMS
  • Build a rich database of users and track for future programs
  • Build product awareness by encouraging trial

SOLUTION

Henderson Robb created an online contest called “Expose Yourself” for Illustrators and Designers. The contest encouraged them to submit their art into a contest using the Sketchbook Pro tools.

Henderson Robb also implemented an Accountable Marketing solution
so as to better understand the user base and their demographic profile.

This online contest was supported by PR, direct marketing, banner advertising, Alias Newsletter and promotion through partner OEM sites.

RESULTS

  • 78% illustration submissions/ 22% design submissions
  • 39,000 unique visitors
  • Average visit 3.3 times-viewing 15.5 pages per visit
