SITUATION

OMERS had requested Henderson Robb to perform an in-depth website assessment with the key goals of bringing it up-to-date with recent company changes and to provide more open lines of communication to its members.

SOLUTION

Henderson Robb updated the OMERS corporate site by improving navigation and refreshing images that properly reflect OMERS’ various lines of business and demonstrated that while they were a global company, they still maintained a friendly and approachable image.  There were a number of objectives to hit through this website refresh, some of which were:

  1. Reflect new investment strategy and business model.
  2. Demonstrate accountability and transparency by ensuring information is easily accessible and organization remained ‘open’ to all members.
  3. Communicate the investment strategy.

RESULTS

As a result of the website changes that Henderson Robb executed, there were a number of goals that were met:

  1. Inconsistencies discovered during site assessment were corrected, making the site more applicable and effective to key stakeholders and members.
  2. The imagery and design of the Homepage and landing pages were been updated to freshen the site and deliver a more accurate reflection of the company structure and investment focus.
  3. Site content has been updated to present a more logical, comprehensive and open communication platform.
  4. Plan governance has been made more prominent and accessible.
