The Toronto Construction Association is a member based society that provides education, legal documents and networking opportunities to their 300,000 members and 2,243 member companies. Founded in 1867, the TCA is the oldest not-for-profit association in North America and has been an important asset in the continuing physical expansion and growth of the Greater Toronto Area.
TCA’s website was extremely content heavy and due to poor navigational structure and minimal search functionality the site was incredibly frustrating to users. In addition, features like news and events were uploaded by PDF and users were expected to download forms and fax back. Membership retention has been an issue for TCA and the launch of a new site that highlighted information, benefits and services was intended to increase acquisition of new members and retention of existing ones.
