History

The Henderson Robb Group is the story of two people who started an advertising, marketing and communications company 16 years ago. We have been fortunate to have had many talented, hard-working and enthusiastic people contribute to the success of the agency. The history of THRG™ is best told by the work we have done over this period of time and the clients we've done it for.

Like many companies in our industry we cut our teeth in the packaged goods world with the likes of Procter and Gamble. We worked to succinct, research-based creative briefs and because we understood the strategies presented we were able to produce the advertising and marketing campaigns that were deemed highly successful by P&G.

In financial services we have worked for three of the big banks and one of the largest brokerage firms. Their process is unique to their industry and we have some fine case studies from our associations with Royal Mutual Funds, CIBC Wood Gundy, Scotia Bank and CIBC Mellon.

Market intelligence is the cornerstone of strong brand development and communications. We have believed from the start that good creative development comes from sound strategy and we have the awards from around the world to prove our theory correct. Not to mention the results that we value as much if not more than the recognition for the quality of the work that produced them.

We have always invested in our customers’ best interest by keeping a core group of creative, account service and managers on our team. Outsourcing is a concept that THRG practiced long before it became the mantra it is today. Our goal has been to add to our team the best and the brightest but not in a manner that necessitated passing them on as overhead to our clients. We recognized the importance of adding online and interactive components to our campaigns in 1998, sometimes the sole component of a project. However, an online and interactive component is always a recommendation in any multi-layered campaign in order to provide greater ROI and reach new audiences with our client’s key brand messages.

As we continue to grow and evolve, THRG maintains its original entrepreneurial attitude toward adapting our brand to meet new market challenges to help bring business to our clients’ businesses. Some of the newest and most exciting ways we are doing this is with sports marketing, sponsorships, media planning and buying for online promotions and our Accountable Marketing™ process.
